Music and Worship Arts seek to enrich each service through praise, worship and devotion beyond the written word to enable all worshipers to center their thoughts on God and prepare their hearts for the Holy Spirit.

Chancel Choir
Indianola First UMC's adult choir (high schoolers welcome). The Chancel Choir sings in our 10:15 service 2-3 times per month September through May. Repertoire consists of traditional and contemporary anthems, masterworks, hymn arrangements, spirituals, and praise arrangements. 
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm upstairs in the Choir Room

Chapel Bells
Indianola First UMC's adult hand bell choir (high schoolers welcome). The Chapel Bells play in our 10:15 service about once a month September through May. Traditional and contemporary repertoire is played on First UMC's custom five-octave set of Whitechapel hand bells. 
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm upstairs in the Sanctuary balcony.​


9am Celebration Band
Indianola First UMC’s contemporary praise band. The Celebration Band leads worship at 9am, year round, with contemporary praise hits.


10:15am Rejoice Band
Indianola First UMC’s blended worship band. The Rejoice Band leads worship along with the organ, year round, at our 10:15am Blended Worship. Repertoire comes from the eclectic hymnal The Faith We Sing in addition to custom song arrangements from rock, folk, spiritual, and Christian music traditions.

Holy Ghost Peppers
Indianola First UMC’s High School FUSE praise band. Holy Ghost Peppers leads HS FUSE Worship on Wednesday nights September through May. 


To Be Determined (TBD)
Indianola First UMC’s Middle School FUSE praise band. TBD is a student-led band that trains middle school musicians to prepare and lead worship with contemporary hits.
