The Purpose of United Methodist Women is “The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”  The UMW of Indianola First United Methodist Church thrives to live the purpose through our educational programs, fellowship times and pledge to missions.  Our Unit is made up of 5 circles who meet regularly to fulfill the purpose that God has for us.

Our pledge to missions helps programs for women and children in Iowa, nationally and globally.
